Spatial Installation
Aim to create an abstract art installation based on a chosen site in the Melbourne CBD. A focus on natural and artificial light is the highlight of this design. These Light Crystals take advantage of the large open space and become an extension of the hotel, reflecting colour and expressing movement within the space.
Westin Hotel
The Westin Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. The space creates a merge between modern verticality and famed Melbourne architecture, as well as both artificial and natural light.

Installation
The Light Crystals take advantage of the large open space and become an extension of the hotel. The crystals are spread throughout the space to incorporate the mix of natural and artificial light such as sunlight or car headlights. The installation serves to refract this light to create an atmosphere surrounding people who walk or drive by.
